Taking you from "for sale" to "sold."
If you've never sold a home before, it may seem easier than buying a home. Just put up the For Sale sign, sit back and wait for the offers to roll in, right? Of course, there's a lot more to it than that!
And to complicate matters, chances are you're not selling your home to go travel the world and live out of a suitcase. You're probably moving into another home. Thus, you have the dual task of selling your current home and buying a new home at the same time. (For guidance on the latter topic, click on Buyer Overview.)
Every home is unique. So is every sale.
Whether you sell your home by yourself or use a real estate agent, certain steps have to be followed from beginning to end. That doesn't mean those steps will be predictable, however. Every buyer is different, and so is every negotiation. That's why bringing in a real estate attorney early on can help you get what you want out of the saleand keep you from stumbling into any hidden pitfalls along the way.
And why should you listen to us?

Onward!
In the Seller section of this web site, we'll guide you through the steps from putting your home on the market to final sale. Although we're real estate attorneys, we know "legalese" isn't your first language, so we promise to cover all the issues you'll face in plain English.
